1. Wall-Mounted Holders

Wall-mounted holders are a classic choice for storing toilet paper. They keep the roll within easy reach and can be installed in various locations depending on your bathroom layout.

  • Single Roll Holders: The most common type, these holders are usually installed near the toilet. They come in various styles and finishes, allowing you to choose one that complements your bathroom décor.

I prefer those that come with a little shelf, so I can put a spare toilet roll right there:

  • Multi-Roll Holders: Some wall-mounted holders are designed to hold multiple rolls, ensuring you always have a spare on hand. These are particularly useful in guest bathrooms where you want to provide extra convenience.

2. Over-the-Toilet Storage

The space above the toilet is often underutilized. Over-the-toilet storage units can make the most of this area, providing a place to store toilet paper and other bathroom essentials.

  • Shelving Units: Install a shelving unit above the toilet to store toilet paper along with other items like towels, toiletries, or decorative pieces. This keeps everything organized and easily accessible.

  • Cabinets: If you prefer a more concealed look, opt for a cabinet that fits next to the toilet. You can store extra rolls of toilet paper inside while keeping them out of sight.

3. Free-Standing Holders

Free-standing toilet paper holders are versatile and easy to move, making them a popular choice for many bathrooms.

  • Vertical Stands: Vertical holders can store multiple rolls vertically, saving floor space and keeping extra rolls within easy reach. They come in various designs, from sleek modern styles to rustic wooden stands.

4. Decorative Displays

If you have some extra space and want to make a decorative statement, consider displaying your toilet paper in a creative way.

  • Wicker Baskets: A large wicker basket can be placed on the floor or on a shelf to store multiple rolls of toilet paper. The natural texture of the basket adds a cozy, rustic touch to the bathroom.

  • Ladder Shelves: Lean a ladder shelf against the wall and use the rungs to hold rolls of toilet paper. This creates a visually interesting display while providing practical storage.

5. Creative DIY Solutions

If you're handy with tools, you can create your own unique toilet paper storage solution.

  • Repurposed Wine Rack: A wall-mounted or freestanding wine rack can be repurposed to hold rolls of toilet paper. This adds a quirky, creative touch to your bathroom.
  • Hanging Baskets: Install a few hanging baskets on the wall or from the ceiling to store toilet paper. This keeps the rolls off the floor and adds a decorative element to the room.
  • Upcycled Furniture: Repurpose an old piece of furniture, like a small dresser or side table, to store toilet paper. The drawers or shelves can hold multiple rolls while adding character to your bathroom.
