Decorating My Home With Minimal & Neutral Spring Decor
Are you looking for new spring decorating ideas? I'm going to take you on a tour of my entire home to share all my spring decor ideas. I decorated with a very neutral and minimal spring decor palette to bring in a simple, light, and airy feel.

1. The living room & hallway
I did some very simple things in my living room for spring. I placed an olive tree next to my fireplace.
I wanted to tie in some black material because I have a lot of black accents throughout my home, like the clock and black candlesticks with battery-operated candles on the mantel.
Hall tree
I did a little decor on top of my hall tree which I do every season. I stacked a few books and topped them with a faux plant. I put a photo of a landscape next to that and more black candlesticks to tie in with those black accents.
Gallery wall
I have a small gallery wall with photos of my husband plus art from Hobby Lobby, which are staggered to give the wall some dimension.
Console table
Here I put a large arrangement on the table, some boxes that look like books (from Hobby Lobby) stacked and topped with a faux plant in a ribbed vase. Candlesticks and a larger candle fill out the top. To keep it simple, I put a record player on the second shelf of the console table.
Coffee table
We have a faux leather couch, two love seats, and an oversized coffee table here. On the coffee table, I added a basket, a distressed vase with lifelike florals, and a couple of magazines.
Sofas
I went with a light, fresh feel on the couches, keeping with those ivories, creams, and green pillow covers. I was able to get covers from Amazon and other large pillows from Target.
Blanket ladder
I added our blanket ladder behind the gray loveseat with a basket filled with florals.
Bench
We have a little accent wall with a bench that I also like to style with pillows and magazines. For spring, I added a little fern wreath on a hook.
2. The dining room
This room is very simple, too.
Runners
I layered jute table runners that came from Hobby Lobby and Target’s Hearth & Hand collection.
Centerpiece
A large thrifted basket is filled with another vase from Hobby Lobby filled with faux variegated greenery stems. It’s part of my “less is more” concept in decorating.
Hutch decor
I style my hutch every single season. I like to keep very basic things in there but I do use this for decorative pieces, not so much for functionality–meaning I do not keep dishes in there.
On the inside, I have some faux plants and thrifted books, but it’s all very cohesive and flows together. I strive to do that every season.
Wicker bottle
On the side of my hutch, I have a large wicker bottle I borrowed from my mom. I filled the bottle with thrifted flowers.
Vignette
On the other side, I have a table with a vignette including another small wicker bottle (also from my mom) filled with flowers, and a pair of candlesticks with battery-operated candles.
3. The kitchen
This room is also extremely simple. I have a small galley-style kitchen, so we are very particular about the items we bring in. We need all the space we can to prep and cook our meals.
Cookbook corner
In one little corner, I have a stack of cookbooks with some bookends, a thrifted lamp, charcuterie boards layered in there, a vase with faux flowers, and a thrifted still-life picture of flowers. A crock holds my wooden spoons.
Black vase
Next to my stove, I have a large black vase from Hobby Lobby that’s layered on a wicker charger. Again, I have some faux variegated greenery in the vase.
Spring decor
I hope you were able to see some spring decoration ideas from my home that you can use in yours. As you can see, I love antiquing, thrifting, and decorating very inexpensively and simply. Let me know in the comments how you decorate for spring.
