Creating a Stunning Summer Tablescape With a Pop of Green

Hey Friends of the Twins, welcome back to the channel! This is Rhonda. I mentioned to you all in a recent video that I wanted to do a tablescape and set the table here in the breakfast nook.

I'm so excited about this because I haven't done a tablescape in such a long time, and I really do love a pretty table. So that's what we're going to be doing in today's video.

I'm going to be using this stunning piece. Isn't it a beauty? It's actually a candle holder, but today I'll be using it as a vessel for my floral arrangement. I found this gorgeous piece at HomeGoods in Hilton Head, South Carolina, during a recent road trip. I couldn't resist it and am excited to incorporate it into my tablescape. I want to keep the arrangement light and fresh for summertime, which is what I think of for this season.

One thing I enjoy doing, Friends of the Twins, is stopping by Ross and HomeGoods whenever I'm outside my immediate city. It's always so much fun to see decor pieces that I haven't seen before or find matching items to something I already own. For example, I might find a pretty platter and then see the matching coffee mugs at another HomeGoods location. This habit makes my trips even more exciting.

While at HomeGoods, I also found these beautiful real-touch cone hydrangeas. There are five of them, and I'm going to center my arrangement around them. They epitomize summer for me with their fresh color and lively feel.

The HomeGoods store there had some decor pieces that I hadn't seen in Georgia, and their clearance aisle was fantastic with true 50% off prices. In Georgia, clearance items are typically only 25% off, rarely 40%, and almost never 50%. The beautiful decor pieces on clearance made me wonder why they hadn't been bought yet. Maybe it's because Hilton Head, being a resort town, has people shopping at higher-end stores.

I'm rambling, as I often do, so let's get back to the arrangement and setting the table. Since my daughter moved out, Shugy and I don't use this table as much. We mostly eat in the sunroom. But I do enjoy a pretty tablescape, so I'm excited to set the table today.

Honestly, I could stop here. The table looks beautiful already, but I'm going to add a little more. I recently updated my living room with green accents, so I'll bring some green into the tablescape too with more hydrangeas. These hydrangeas have a lovely shade of green with a hint of pink, which is perfect.

I had been searching for black placemats and finally found these elegant ones with metallic gold threading at HomeGoods in South Carolina. They were on clearance for $10 for a set of six. I love their vintage house vibe, which fits right in with our style.

These plates from Hobby Lobby were just $2.49. I incorporated green as my pop of color for the living room, so these matched with that theme perfectly.

That's all for today! Did I see a lot of tempting things at HomeGoods in Hilton Head? Yes, but I didn't bite the bullet. Thank you so much for watching, and we'll see you in the next one!

Lovely setting ...agree with prev comments re how real the flowers look...my only concern is with a centerpiece that large there is no way you could leave it on the table when you seat your guests...I'm not short but would have a hard time seeing over that gorgeous arrangement...☺️

It looks great for decor and of course when you sit down you may move the centerpiece. It all looks lovely!
