Thrift With Me: How I Shop For & Style Thrifted Decor

I have decorated my home with thrifted and antique pieces for a long time. It’s so therapeutic to go thrift shopping. When I tell people some of my things are thrifted, they are shocked! Let’s go antiquing at my favorite local antique store! I'll share a home decor haul and how I shop for antique and thrifted home decor.

Come thrift with me and let’s see all the good things they have out on display–you just never know what you’ll find.

Love thrifting? Check out these vintage inspired home decor items that Amazon reviewers swear by!

1. Baskets

The store has tons of baskets out, specifically unique picnic baskets. You can place them on top of a fridge for storage or hang greenery out of them.

2. Unusual chair

Look at this pretty chair with all the beading detail and scalloped back.

3. Furniture

There were many midcentury modern pieces out today.

4. Wood and warmth

I love this section here–it really spoke to me with the wood tones and worn pieces with that earthy, organic feel.

5. Pieces that tell a story

I love bringing home pieces that have a story like this filing cabinet for organizing mail.

6. Statement pieces and more

Here are a few statement accessories like this dough bowl and a huge glass jug plus tons of trays, vases, pitchers, candleholders, and crocks.

My haul!

I am always on the hunt for brass and crocks and just those more rustic, worn items in general. I love mixing the old with the new items in my house since I love that old-world, earthy feel. Let me share my haul of staple pieces that I’ll use all year long.

Basket with character

A super-thick, great-quality basket that’s huge! I’m going to put this basket filled with blankets on the side of my loveseat.

Brass vase

Ideal for fall florals or even kitchen utensils.

Bronze vase

I love the shape of this vase. It has a deep patina. It was paired with a black lamp at the store. I have a lot of black accents in my home and this will go beautifully somewhere.

Crock

I love old crocks in neutral colors like brown and tan. But the price can be outrageous. This one was a great price and a great chocolatey-purplish color in different lighting.

Other crocks I saw that I didn’t get but wanted very badly!

That’s my small thrifted haul for today. Let me know in the comments if you love thrifting or if it’s not your cup of tea. What was your most amazing find?
