12 Adorable Modern Farmhouse Hutch Decor Ideas For Summer

Come along with me as I show you my hutch decor ideas for the summer. I’ll go over what I added to my summer hutch. I’m also going to show you what I did with my dining room table. It’s all so fresh and pretty.

Before

After

1. Top shelf vignette

On the top, I added a vintage picnic basket with a navy blue checked napkin in it for more of a casual, vintage flair. There’s the lantern.

2. Wreath

I added this wreath for spring but I love the colors with a hint of yellow with white flowers so I’m keeping it up through summer.

3. Thrifted finds

These vintage collanders are thrifted and they look lovely with the white ironstone pitchers.

4. Gravy bowl and more ironestone

I thrifted a Homer Laughlin restaurant-style gravy bowl with a dark blue stripe. It’s sitting on some ironstone platters that I also thrifted in the past.

5. Cute faux pies

There are some little faux pies I made in this little cloche.

6. Vintage sifter

Here are some other old dishes plus a sifter with an enamel-painted apple. Can you just imagine how many people made biscuits using that old sifter?

7. Vintage crock

On the bottom is my crock of vintage rolling pins and my rooster.

8. Prettiest table cover

I found this gorgeous linen table cover on Amazon! I love it. It’s a blue-and-white floral pattern with tassels.

9. Plates and radishes

I’m not putting placemats on the table, just white plates. I put little faux white radishes on each plate–it says summer all over it!

10. Ready for lemonade

I love to display my glass pitcher with glasses ready to go to pour lemonade or sweet tea.

11. Egg and lettuce vignette

I have a cutting board from Hobby Lobby on the table with a bowl of faux lettuce leaves (from Amazon) and faux eggs. Here’s another thrifted ironstone pitcher. The two “wood” chickens are from Hobby Lobby and they are made of resin.

12. DIY napkins

I made some napkins from some fabric from Hobby Lobby. My napkins measure 17 inches by 17 inches. I gather it in the middle, tie a radish on it with a little string and a bow, and lay it out on the plate. That completes my summer table!
