Cozy Fall Touches: Decorating My Mudroom & Laundry Room for the Season

Hello, you! I'm so glad you're here today! Come along with me as I decorate my mudroom for the very first time. Larry has had this done for quite some time, but I never really had anything come together until now for fall. So let’s go ahead and get started, and then we’ll move into the laundry room!

This barn print is one that started out on my mantle two years ago, then moved to my hooks in the entryway, and now it’s made its way here to the mudroom. I just love all the colors!

It’s got all the autumn vibes with those beautiful wheat colors. You’ll have to let me know in the comments below: Do you think this looks okay hanging on the side wall, or should I move it above the beadboard?

I’m also adding a gold and cream-colored throw on one of the hooks. For the life of me, I can't remember where I got this throw blanket, but I just love it!

I’m also adding a little 12x20 lumbar pillow that I thought would look good on the dark wood. That pillow cover came from Amazon, by the way!

The basket—I believe I found that at Hobby Lobby—I love everything about it, the color and the texture.

I thought it would be nice to add some florals that match the barnwood print, and it came out just as I imagined. I also added a straw hat to give it more of that autumn feel.

Now, I was thinking about putting a rug down, but I’m not sure. We come in from the garage, and there are a couple of rugs already out there, so I don’t really like to cover my floor too much.

Moving into my laundry room—I know a lot of people probably don’t decorate their laundry room for the holidays, but I just love walking in and seeing that it’s decorated and clean.

You'll have to excuse me—I'm not dressed up today. My husband and I went walking early this morning before the heat got up into the 90s, so I’m in comfortable cotton walking clothes and looking a bit of a mess. But I wanted to go ahead and get this done and get this video up for you guys!

Now, let me show you how it all came together. In this basket, I keep all of my Bath & Body Works wallflowers, and I’ve got a pumpkin pecan waffle scent ready for the holidays. I’ve got five of those and five plug-ins that I’ll be putting throughout the house.

On the top shelf, I keep my dryer sheet container, which I got from Amazon. I love that I don’t have to see that bright orange box of dryer sheets anymore!

I’m also adding a few fall florals here and there. I use the top of this shelf a lot when I’m doing laundry, to fold items or lay out things like Tide and Downy.

Now, with these little touches of fall, the laundry room doesn’t feel so isolated from the rest of the house, and it becomes a more enjoyable space instead of just a place for chores.

I also picked up this rug at Hobby Lobby this year. I’ve got gray tile floors, but I wanted to bring in a little brown to soften the look.

Up there on the hook, I’ve changed out the aprons for more fall colors instead of the spring ones I had, with the lemons and all.

That’s it for my mudroom and laundry room fall makeovers, which are really just a few touches. Do you decorate these areas for fall? Let me know in the comments below.
