How to Decorate Your Living Room With Thrifted Items

Today I'm going to be taking you on a little room tour and pointing out all of my thrifted finds. Hopefully, you will get some decorating inspiration along the way. Let’s go ahead and go for it. I promise that there are a lot of good things in this room that you will want to see.

When you first walk into our doors right there, you see this entryway wall. Almost everything you see here is thrifted. All of these frames are thrifted.

I actually added a new little addition the other day. I thought it was super cute with the boats.

The basket is secondhand. The florals are thrifted.

The bench we have going on here is an old entertainment center I found at the thrift store and then painted.

Let me give you a closer look at some of the frames.

All I did after buying them was go on Etsy and buy a PDF of over 300 photos then printed off the size that I needed and stuck them in these frames. It was a very inexpensive project.

As far as the florals go, I found these at the thrift store several years ago. I use them year after year, and I stuck them in this little basket that I got secondhand as well.

We're going to go ahead and move to the middle of the room here. One of the things that has made a drastic difference in our home is this rug. It is the Loloi brand and you can find their rugs on Wayfair and Amazon. It has been the perfect addition to warm up this space.

As far as thrifted things go, we bought our coffee table secondhand from another family. It is oversized and has a drawer that opens.

Thrifted books are always a go-to for me as well. I love finding them in a pretty matte finish and looking for different colors. I have a plant and other thrifted stuff on there too.

The blanket and most of the pillow covers are from Amazon.

This particular pillow was thrifted. I like to mix and match patterns, colors, and textures in a space. It adds a lot of character to the couch.

Those sconces are from Amazon too.

We also have this old-school library lamp that I found at the thrift store along with this table.

I have some books under there and a basket that houses our router.

One of the things I love about it is that it has a lot of detail. It was such a good find. I actually found the table and the lamp around the same time, and I was pretty happy about that.

On this side of our room, we have our fireplace, and I have a little chair over there as well. My husband built the fireplace from scratch. It was just a blank wall before that.

As far as thrifted pieces go, I have this crock that I absolutely love. The texture that it has and the coloring are very pretty.

On this side of the fireplace, the candlesticks are thrifted. I love looking for candlesticks because they are such a hot commodity right now.

As far as this corner goes, I like to keep a chair over here all year long, other than at Christmas time when I put our Christmas tree here. This chair was another thrift find. It's one of my favorite finds, and it's a really good staple for our home.

The next thing that I'm going to mention is this piece back here. This right here is our secretary.

The doors do open up, which is super nice. We used to have this in our kitchen, and we stored our coffee mugs in there.

We decided to bring it into our living room because the front part of it folds down, so you can use it as a desk.

This little chair does not go with the secretary. This was my father-in-law's when he was little, and he gave it to my boys. So that sits over there for whenever the boys want a little chair to sit down on.

The clock wasn't second hand but, I found that on clearance at Target.

Another thrifted piece that I have over here is this trunk. I bought this several years ago. It was a Facebook Marketplace find. It came with other baskets too and is full of my boys’ toys.

This bench was a thrift store find several years ago. We have used it in lots of different spaces in our home, and we love it.

The middle basket was a secondhand find and then the two dark ones on the sides are actually chargers for a table. We just nailed those up to give it that basket look.

This DIY was very simple. We simply stained a piece of wood, put it across there, added the hooks, and then did the two-tone wall look.

This is the last little area in our living room and is one of my favorites. We painted that shiplap at the same time we did our entryway. Almost everything you see over here is thrifted.

I wanted to point out this runner. This actually matches the area rug, and we got this on Wayfair.

This buffet was secondhand and was given to us by my in-laws. It was in pretty rough shape because it had been in storage for a really long time and the veneer was just coming off anyway, so I took the veneer off and painted it a matte black. Then I added some hardware.

Almost all of the things on top are secondhand too. I found the lamp at a thrift store for a steal.
