Decorating My Living Room for Fall: Mantle, TV Console & More

Hey sweet friends! Welcome to my home. Are you ready for some decorating inspiration for Fall 2024? Today, I’m excited to share my cozy and warm fall decorations, starting right here in my living room. Let’s dive right in!

Starting with the Rug

First up, I’ve put down this beautiful earth-toned rug that I absolutely adore for the fall and Christmas season. What do you think?

I love how the warm, neutral tones add a cozy vibe to the room. This rug is from Amazon, and it comes in different sizes. I’ll probably tuck it away when spring rolls around and give the space a refresh, but for now, I’m loving it! If you're interested, I've linked it in my Amazon Fall 2024 favorites—just check the description box for the link.

My Inspiration Piece

Next, let me show you my inspiration piece—this gorgeous artwork from Hobby Lobby. I love everything about it, from the rich burgundy tones to the muted pumpkins and the charming white barn. This piece has really set the color palette for my entire mantle display.

When I saw this artwork, I knew I had to have it, even though my store only had three left! So, let’s use it as the focal point as we start decorating my mantle.

Decorating the Mantle

I’m starting by placing a couple of risers on the mantle to give some height and dimension. My next piece is a tobacco basket that I’ve used in several decor projects before.

Since my mantle is dark, this basket will help lighten things up just a bit without being too bright or overpowering.

Next, I’m adding a vase and a burgundy plant.

A rustic grapevine wreath on the opposite side of the mantle helps to balance things out. It ties in perfectly with the outdoor, barn feel of the artwork and adds a touch of natural texture to the space.

To bring out the warm tones of fall, I’m also using these earth-tone vases filled with burgundy garlands I found at Hobby Lobby. Instead of buying individual stems, I cut sections from the garland to save money and create the look I wanted.

For a little glow, I’m adding a single candlestick from a set I purchased at Hobby Lobby a few years ago. It’s paired with a simple candle that adds a soft, autumn glow to the room. I think the flicker of candlelight is the perfect touch for cozy fall evenings.

You guys know I love to fill up my space with decor, so I’ve added these muted orange pumpkins that I got from Kirklands a few years ago. These pumpkins bring out the colors in the artwork, and I still love using them year after year. It’s amazing how just a few simple pieces can tie everything together.

TV Stand Decor

Now, let’s move over to my TV stand. I keep this pretty simple with my basic items like a vine, a clock, and a photo of my hubby and me.

But to bring in some fall touches, I’m adding a few pieces like these rustic acorns and a driftwood pumpkin from Hobby Lobby.

The driftwood pumpkin is one of my favorite fall items—I love how it brings that natural, outdoor feel into the room.

Decorating the Fireplace

Let’s head to the bottom of my fireplace. I’ve added a little fall sign and an amber jar inside a lantern with fall picks and fairy lights to create a warm, welcoming glow.

On the right side, I’ve placed a wicker basket filled with a cozy waffle-weave throw, some florals, and this adorable plaid pumpkin that I stumbled upon at Hobby Lobby. It was such a lucky find, and I love how it adds a rustic yet elegant touch to the fireplace area.

Cozy Sofa Decor

For the sofa, I’ve switched up my pillow covers to reflect fall. I’m using these Persian rug-style pillow covers alongside the corduroy ones I bought last year. I love the combination of textures and patterns—they create such a cozy, layered look that’s perfect for fall.

Final Touches: Overflow Decor

I like to add a bit of “overflow decor” under my end tables. These are just a few extra fall items that may not have fit on the mantle or TV stand but still deserve a spot. Sometimes it matches perfectly, sometimes it doesn’t—but I love the look of a full, warm, and inviting space.

Almost forgot—this new woven pumpkin from Hobby Lobby! It’s a natural, neutral tone, and I’m placing it on my end table as a finishing touch.

The Big Reveal

Here is the overall look of my living room, fully decorated for Fall 2024. I love how all the colors, textures, and warm autumn vibes come together to create a cozy, inviting space. From the mantle to the sofa to the little details throughout the room, everything feels ready for the fall season.

A Touch of Autumn Ambience

One more thing! You might notice that on my TV, I’ve got some Autumn Ambience playing—a one-hour meditation with classical music. I like to play this as a reminder to take a break each day and relax, away from the chaos of the world.

That’s it for my Fall 2024 living room decor! I hope you enjoyed the tour and found some inspiration for your own home. Thank you so much for visiting—until next time, sweet friends!

Hi, my name is Maria and I live in Melbourne, Australia. Thank you for for sharing your imagination and creation for Fall Living Room Decor 2024. The beautiful earth tone carpet fits perfectly. Can I please ask if you have put something underneath it to stop it sliding over the floorboards? So far every piece of carpet I used does not stay put on floor boards. Would love to hear from you if you have any hints. In the meantime, thank you again and and congrats on your lovely home.Warm regards, Maria
