A Few Creative Home Updates & Real-Life Farmhouse Styling

Hey, it's Holly! Welcome to Living at Country. Today, I'm going to be sharing some rearranging of furniture in our home, a bit of decorating, as well as a few new pieces from Homary.

You guys are going to get a realistic look at how these are styled in our home. We've had them for about a month and a half now.

After I show how they look in our home, I'll also share some inspiration for you guys on how you can style them if you want them to look super pretty.

When I picked out these pieces, I wanted to make sure they were not only beautiful but functional and well-used by our family. So, without further ado, let's get started!

Dining Room Updates

The first area I want to share with you guys is our dining room. I feel like I've shared this space so much. I love these two captain chairs and our barn X chairs. We've got four of them here and two more in the garage that used to be in the office.

I decided to list four of the six, so two will remain at this dining room table, and I'll move my wood bench back in here.

This not only declutters our garage and house but also gives us a bit of cash for a weekend trip.

(I'm hoping to drive to Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, this summer to visit the water park. I went there with my husband on our one-year wedding anniversary, 12 years ago, and it was awesome.)

I also listed our two accent chairs, which I love, but they didn't fit in that space as I wanted. Decluttering that space makes it functional and usable. The chairs were too bulky to be functional. Fun, affordable DIYs are coming for that room, but those are some pieces I'm letting go of, hoping they sell.

Dining Room Table Centerpiece

One of my favorite places to decorate and redecorate is my dining room table. I love doing a simple centerpiece. I recently shared my cute table tray from Antique Farmhouse.

I took it outside, and it rained, ruining it. It's completely warped, so it's permanently outside until the end of its days.

I loved how it contained everything and gave some dimension from the table runner. If you have any ideas, let me know.

Living Room Rearrangement

I'm moving my circled ottoman, a ticking stripe fabric one, into my front room to make room for my new wood coffee table. I've had it for a while now, and we use it every single day.

This is a modern wood coffee table in a rectangular shape with a natural rustic color.

We've been using it for puzzles, and my little guy, who is five, is fascinated with puzzles. He's now framing all his puzzles as art on his bedroom wall.

We have little stools and ottomans all around the coffee table, so it's been a bit claustrophobic with furniture. We're rearranging things, and I love how it looks.

It might be swapped next time with the ottoman or placed in the front room. It's been a great puzzle table.

Office/Homeschool Room Transformation

Next, I'm taking you guys into my office, which is officially becoming the kids' homeschool room. It's a work in progress, but with the help of Homary, we got a dresser to organize everything.

I have whiteboards and cute little Amazon containers for each kid's schoolwork items. This dresser has a Coastal Farmhouse vibe, and I love how it looks in the front room with the sun shining in.

It's a six-drawer dresser made of rattan material and is one of Homery's best-selling dressers.

Girls' Room Update

In my girls' room, we just had guests leave, so we're still cleaning up the space. She has a beautiful rattan entryway bench, which she's using to display her Barbie items and nail polish.

It's so sweet to see her creative side. The bench was intended for an entryway, but she loves it in her room.

Boys' Room Refresh

I realized I need to list more items to sell from my boys' room. His room had a Route 66 and Ford theme, with Disney Cars decor, but we've transitioned to Spider-Man.

We've invested in a few Spider-Man pieces, mostly puzzles framed as art. To buy anything else, we'll use funds from selling his old decor. This helps keep on budget. I'd love to know your tips for staying on budget.

You can find details of the products mentioned here in the video description box on YouTube.

Have a wonderful day, and I'll see you later on Living at Country. Bye!

Thank you.
