I attended a Parade of Homes in The Grove, located in Arrington, Tennessee.
These homes were over-the-top extravagant and while most of us don't live this lifestyle, myself included, there are still plenty of unique home decorating ideas to be gleaned from these fabulous homes.
I am going to point out several easy decorating ideas you could implement in your own home.
Table of contents
1. Place setting ideas
For a pretty place setting idea, put a candle ring between the dinner plate and the salad plate.
2. Gorgeous bedrooms
Here are images from some beautiful bedrooms, including hand-painted walls.
3. Pool and garden inspiration
4. Firewood boxes
If you know about woodworking, you can make these wonderful boxes. They are the marriage of function and design.
5. Lighting design inspiration
6. Wood cornices
Look at these simple wood cornice boards. They are so easy to mimic and so elegant.
7. Art and wall inspiration
How about this shadow box filled with watercolor butterflies? My daughter had a great idea. Collect your child’s drawings, cut out butterflies or other shapes from them, and display them in a shadow box. How beautiful that would be!
8. Boy’s room
This was my favorite and had a lot of doable ideas. Attach sports memorabilia to the wall and the headboard was made from wood slats. All pretty smart ideas!
9. Bonus room basement
10. Kitchen counter
An easy way to accessorize a large kitchen countertop is with a cutting board. Here they placed two large vases with greenery on the board.
11. Laundry room
Here’s an amazing laundry room.
12. Best house for last–the Southern Living Showcase Home
…look at this peel-and-stick tile that was in the guest house! I thought it was real tile! What an incredible find.
Was this not the most incredible tour of homes? But there were so many decor ideas you can mimic. Let me know your favorite room or idea! Comment below.
