How to Style a Thrifted Vase in 3 Simple Steps

I recently scored the cutest little home decor piece for just $1 while thrifting, and I'm excited to share how I styled it in my home. Finding unique items like this is one of my favorite parts of thrifting, and the fact that it was only a dollar made it even better.

The piece I found is a charming vase with stripes, something I would have recreated myself if I had a plain white vase.

So, discovering it was already done was a delightful bonus. I couldn't wait to get it home and fill it with an array of vibrant greens.

1. Choosing the Greens

When adding greens to a vase, I like to arrange them so they lean slightly to one side rather than being perfectly circular. This gives a more natural, effortless look, as if the greens were casually tossed into the vase.

2. Placing the Vase:

I decided to place the vase on a small pedestal in my kitchen, between the stove and the sink. The stripes on the vase perfectly complement the subway tiles, rug, and cabinet colors in my kitchen.

3. Adding a Twist:

While the vase looks great on its own, I also enjoy adding a bit of variety. Sometimes, I tilt the pedestal slightly and place a vintage glass with battery-operated lights next to the vase. This adds a charming and cozy touch to the space.

Styling thrifted finds like this vase is always a fun and creative process. It’s amazing how a simple $1 find can transform a space and add a unique touch to your home decor. So, next time you're out thrifting, keep an eye out for hidden gems and let your creativity flow.
