Lighting Up Cozy, Cloudy Nights With a Moon Lamp

2023 was the year I became obsessed with the moon.

I’ve never been big into astrology or horoscopes, but when I moved to a new place with abundant clear skies, I found a new hobby in stargazing and something I’ve coined as “moon howling,” where I sit on my rooftop, cozy in a blanket, deep in thought, simply moon-bathing.

Just me?

I find a lot of comfort in gazing at the moon: constant but always changing; beautiful, feminine goddess energy with a dash of wolfishness; even when you can’t see it, you know it’s just waiting to wax into something new.

I have a point, I promise.

The Inspiration

So when I was perusing some interior design trends for 2024 and came across this FLORNIA lamp on Amazon, the first thing that came to my mind was the moon.

FLORNIA Modern Industrial Table Lamp

I really, really like this lamp. It’s warm, modern, reminiscent of a crystal ball, and when it’s not switched on, it looks like a stylish piece of decor.

But, I wanted more. If a lamp like this exists, is there one that is even more moon-like, that could fulfill all my loony lunar dreams?

Yes, yes, there is.

The Moon Lamp

LOGROTATE Moon Lamp

This moon lamp is so cool! The realistic moon surface is made using 3D printing technology, there are 16 color options for the light, plus adjustable brightness, there’s a timer if you want to use it as a night light, and it’s rechargeable.

I’m a little bit obsessed. There are seven sizes available so I’m considering which one to go for. I think smaller would be better, but the reviews seem to lean toward the 5.8-inch version.

And as cool as all the color options are, I think I would prefer just the warm yellow glow. Even on a cloudy night, I will still feel like I’m looking up at the moon! I can see myself tucked up with a good book on my couch, reading with this light next to me.

On the one hand, I love the first lamp and perhaps it’s more versatile, but I’m also drawn to the second. One is more modern and stylish, but the other is more realistic.
